We are pleased to introduce our supported housing, LIFEHAB.
It is created and staffed by ex - prisoners, for ex - prisoners.
LIFEHAB is for people who have spent time in custody who are wanting positive change - but need the right support, environment, and opportunities to do this.
- a programme of groups focusing on recovery from damaging lifestyles and pasts
- 1 - 1 support
- help with benefits/ID
- support worker training and volunteering opportunities
- resettlement support
- activities and life skills
- support with education and jobs
As our staff have spent many years in prison, we understand the challenges faced upon release - both practical and emotional.
We want to create a community, a sense of belonging and acceptance which focuses on people`s strengths.
Our work is research based and follows a model of identity change – helping people become the people they were always meant to be.
LIFEHAB is based in Macclesfield, with 4/5 bed houses all walking distance from the town centre. Houses have single rooms, with a shared kitchen, bathroom, lounge, and garden. All houses have Wi-Fi and CCTV. Service charge is £15 per week
